The 5.3 and 5.9 are twins on the outside. I am confident that they will swap out. If the comp. will not work, find a used one.
No problem.
Hope this helps
Darrell

Yes you can. If you are going from a 5.2 magnum to a 5.9 Magnum. Then yes you can. Very simple. Just swap in the long block with the harmonic balancer to the flex-plate. No welding or cutting or modifying of any kind. EVERYTHING WILL work. I have done it. EVERYTHING is the same! From motor mounts to oil pan to transmission bell housing. The only issue you may run into, is that the computer will not give you 100% as a stock 5.9 computer will. Maybe around 90%. And thanks to the sensors the computer will adjust the timing and fuel ratios to keep it good.
Depends on his tranny the 5.9 requires a little modification to run the 5speed, 46re no. Also who is fighting? The was was a ***** to start out with and then edited his posts, i was being sarcastic when i said cuz batman said so, 5.2 to 5.9 is not as easy as everyone claims and type of motor swap is not easy for everyone as you may think, also you have a gen1 this guy has a gen 2 which does change a few things.

Now i know why i left this place, over modded piece of **** forum. They fire the good mods like me because i stood up for what i believed at the time TOTM and Ram. Crazy chill out, don't turn into Pyro and Hammer be cool don't be a douche mod.

Also your truck is not an R/T FYI. Just saying...

1. I was not drunk
2. You sound like a 14 year old that just learned how to cuss.
3. And yes with the help of your dad and you handing him the tools "you can do it yourself"
4. That was a horrible comeback about driving and internet.
5. Funny how you cant stand up for yourself, till the mods showed up.

So please be specific User! Why won't it work? Where is your proof? Resources? I know there is no difference in the motor mounts locations are the same. The stock computer can run the 5.9. Stock injectors can run it efficiently. Yes a 5.9 computer and injectors are best!

Actually, Crazy, even the injectors are the same between the two. The only three things you would need are the engine, computer, and the balanced flywheel or flex plate depending on the transmission. The harnesses are the same, the mounts are the same, everything else is the same. You could even settle for a 5.9 short block and put your 318's heads, intake, oil pan, etc. on it.

Exactly my point. User says there is more. I'm just waiting for his proof!

Yes its a 46re. This is important... you need to use the 5.9L's flex plate! The 5.9L is an externally balanced motor whereas the 5.2L is internally balanced. The two flex plates are not interchangable.
