Changing Colors?!?
yeah hes a big bully. w/e so yeah mega my trucks gonna stay the same color im going for a completely customizied look. so far i got cervinis ss hood and sniper grill, xenon 13 piece body kit, clear corners, head/taillight covers, belltech 2/4" drop. Im probably going to end up shaving it completely and wiper cowls next i guess. im looking for wheels rigth now. hey i got a ? for you mega. Do you know if on my body kit the "front bumper cover" replaces the bumper or goes over it? b/c i keep getting different answers people saying it doesnt and people saying it does. thanks. . .
Not certain 'bout the Xenon... Most cover the bumper tho. Look it up on-line. If you see a gap between the bumper and lower valence it doesn't cover the bumper. You'll prob'ly have to use better hardware than supplied tho... and more of it. I don't like most of the grille mesh supplied with the grille bezels. 'Looks like bead blasted gutter guard. This was with the Cervia Sniper grille... same as you have. I also use the Street Scenes hood release. The Cervni piece supplied bein' cheezy. I finally found a very good supplier of grille mesh material at customcargrilles.com. I used the 12" x 48" sheet and cut it to fit. It comes in a variety of 'weave' and finishes.
OK... I just looked the Xenon unit up: "Part Number: 10651 (entire part below the headlights and it goes over your stock bumper)" There's your answer.
The Street Scene wiper cowl in nice... but it requires some serious 'fitment'. One thing to note... ALL of these 'glass and ABS pieces required outgassing to prevent bubbling the paint after it's applied. This requires an overnight stay in a body shops heat shed to 'cure' before doing anything. I have the Street Scene wiper cowl and Cal-vu electric mirrors. I got the mirrors painted and installed using the 'barter' system for the stock mirrors and wiper cowl. I also used 'barter' for my stock hood 'n rear bumper to defray some of the cost for the paint job 'n install. Shop around 'n find the best price 'n the best place to do it. Bear in mind... none of it's cheap! 'Took me 5 years to get this R/T where it is now. 'Lotta lookin' and drawing mock-ups on paper. Good luck with your effort!
