For a quality 2 stage job (basecoat/clear coat), that could run about $2500 dependng on how much bodywork has to be done. You can get a Maaco jsingle stage ob for $700 or so.

My father was a well known painter in NJ for over 30 years and he had changed the color of a guys mustang from white to black. Complete paint job, door jams, under hood and firewall, trunk jams and anything else that would be visible. The job cost the customer $8000.00 and that was about ten years ago. Remember, as far as painting, you get what you pay for. Go to maaco only if you plan on painting it again in about five years. Good luck!

Leave it as it is! changing the color is a big undertaking! If you want a black truck, buy one! lol

My '92 used to be blue, but after a Uhaul truck decided to kiss it's rear corner, the color was changed to Black to match the replacement bed. It is a MAACO job, but they did the bed, cab, shell, door frames. Basically everything except under the hood. That's still blue. Turned out to be a nice job, but it is only temporary.

I just did my mirrors, door handles, front and rear bumper cladings, and the windshield cowl.

Price $600.

To do a quality color change, you need to remove all glass, trim, handles, and doors. Proper prep and a good quality clear coat finish, 2-3 base coats, 2-3 color coats, 2-3 clear coats, color sanding and buffing, re-assembly all bright, pretty and proud, expect to lay out somewhere between $6500 and $8500.

You may want to take the money, put it with your ride and trade up.
