Default 2nd Gen Dakota Lifts?

I have a 2001 Dakota AWD 4.7L.
I was told by the local off road shop that lift kits are not made for my truck any longer. Is this true? Anyone know where I can get a lift kit?

My truck gets a lousy 10mpg. Does it having AWD have anything to do with it? Any specific things I can check? It has a factory size K&N filter. I've changed the plugs. Other than that, no other service besides oil changes. Will a cold air intake help?

Thanks. Forgot to mention I do have a Flowmaster exaust. I should have gotten dual exaust when they installed it though. Will dual help any more than a single?

depends on ur engine. i got a 4.7 and only got a single. if u have a v6 i would strongly not recomened it. but if u do go dual i here u gotta decrease the dia. of the pipes for egual flow or somthing.

yea there was a huge debate a while back. the best thing to keep your power is to just replace the muffler and keep a si/so style exhaust. keep the stock piping just replace the muffler and cat.

yes, it was a huge debate and you would have to find it, read it, and decide for yourself. As far as the lift, they are definately available. it looks like you have internet so just go find one. And mileage, good luck. there is no such thing as decent gas mileage with a dodge truck. you could definately help it by swaping it over to 4wd instead of A.W.D.

I did dual magnaflows on my 5.2 and stuck with the 2.5 inch pipes. Some might say I lost power but I still have good bottom end and can reach 100 no problem so I dont care. I got the sound I was looking for and thats all I cared about. As far as mpg my truck is getting a bad 7-8 mpg(before I was getting about 15). Im not throwing any codes so im going to try new o2 sensors first and see what happens.

i have a 4.7 4x4 reg cab. whats awd? i no what it stands for but how does it work? i would think all the 4x4 gear would be heavier meaning less mpg.
i get 18 mpg by the way.
