Stupid and lazy question..
my haynes manual got toasted when wife tossed in back of truck so anyone got a haynes manual for a 03 dak that can tell me how the back up lights get replaced.. wifey took my credit card so cant goto FLAPS to get new book and cant find any links online that shows.. is it as simple as just screws and the whole light housing comes out .. its pitch black where i live so havent even looked at tail light assembly yet figured someone might know if its just screws or phillips or torx screws and maybe what size ill need.. ..
sorry its a lame question but i cant belive i cant find a schematic anywhere on the net for it.. amazing..

Its tough... 2 screws...
Seriously just open the tailgate and take out the 2 screws. The whole assembly comes out. Then turn and pull out the bottum light assembly and replace the bulb. Then put it back together.
Theres probably not a schematic because theres nothing to it.
I hope you can handle that..

lol i had to change my front head lamps awhile ago and they were a pain in the **** so i assumed the rears would be as well and since its nighttime on east coast i honestly never looked at assembly but thats cool 2 screws thats easy.. rofl... like i said earlier it was a stupid question but curiousity since i hadnt looked at the lights yet... lol
yea back lights and fog lights are the easiest things in the world. for the front ones i did them without removing the front ones by removing my battery and putting one in from behind the light and on the pass i have a k&n so i could just stick my hand all the way up from underneath lol, anything to not have to remove and realign the lights
edit: i do think the screws are torx screws correct me if im wrong just a heads up

oh trust me they are torx. bad experience. i bought a hex thinking it was the same thing. stripped the **** out of every thing. my headlights were so poorly aligned. it was just depressing.
wow that sucks, i was talking about the tail lights, i havent ever tried to take out the headlights, and i personally like torx more, they are cheaper sockets at harbor freight (THE GREATEST TOOL STORE ON THE PLANET) and they are harder to strip than phillips screws
yeah the hand down the engine ive tried.. lol my hands are too big.. to manupilate the lights.. fun fun...
