Maybe Haiti will start a relief fund for your new truck. Good luck, and I hope your new project lessens the grief over your last truck.

and a couple of local stock ones.

Im not getting a Club Cab, it has to be a single cab, or last resort ill get a CC, and it has to be another R/T.
Bet the 408 will do better than the 360... It may need a few upgrades. i would get the 408... throw in a good 3 speed trans (unless you need the od.) Set of gears, and high stall converter but it will be a ton faster than the 360.

A s/c'ed 408 flame red RC, is like my dream dakota r/t. As long as its got a strong enough tranny, I bet that thing could break 10s. It ought to be able to beat a built 360 no problem.

I have made up my mind, the new truck is coming tomorrow. Its not the 408. I want somthing that i can build up, a truck thats already built and i buy it will give me no respect.

Im buying an 2001 Regular Cab Silver R/T for 5200$ Monday afternoon, this is coming out my parents savings and once i get the check from the insurnace ill pay them back. I just cant let this one slip away being its only 30min away from me.

The engine bay will be my first project im going to clean it up and deleted all the **** i dont want, Cruise, OVerflow, Fan shroud, clutch fan, ect... going to do a tune up swap all fluids and clean the bay and truck.

Then im going to wait and see what the insurnace gives me back and im going to dump atleast 4-5k right off the back to get it back to the point i had it before. Interior is going to take some time to replace as that was the hardest **** to find and get done good.

But i also have a set of Silver 20in R/Ts waiting to go on also, so im thinking about 3 months from now this truck is going to be mean.

I already have a list of things to change.

Hood,
Rear Window to a one peice instead of a sliding one,
Engine bay makeover,
Bedrug,
Bedcover (like i had before)
all the performance **** i had before.

Cant wait. If i get enough back from taxes, i might build a 410ci small block and pop it in this beast, and have the tranny rebuilt once again.

here is the link to the truck...

Auto is better for the track anyways, when running bracket racing you MUST be consistent.

true, if its for drag, an auto is a must.

Looks like a sweet truck. I think silver is awesome. Don't see alot of silver RC R/ts. I don't like the looks of 20" r/t's. 18s are perfect. But thats just IMO. I would look awesome with the one piece clear headlights and the bottom grille replaced with a chrome... but thats all apperance.

a 410 would awesome. I really hope you can do that.

What hood are you going with. I really like the srt10 hood or the cowl.

But what ever you do, take a $hit ton of pics when you get!!

Awesome find.
