side exhaust

Default side exhaust

ive heard doing a dual exit exhaust decreases power but what about a side exit? dual side exits?

i think if the two pipes are coming out of one muffler(si/do) ur gonna loose power.
if the pipes are shorter it may be louder. are u dumping it b4 the tire?

either si/do or a y pipe and yea right in front of the tire like this

It doesn't make any difference. I used to have a single 3" side exit until I added traction bars and it was in the way. I then had dual 2 1/2" tailpipes run out behind each rear wheel. I hate it, and I'm going back to a side exit, this time it's going over the frame.

You wont be able to run a side exit on the drivers side with the factory fuel tank there..

ur gonna run a muffler or a y pipe w/o a muffler?
i was gonna run the side out but my frame is right there do u have a lift?

I have single 2.5 inch running into magnaflow muffler then dual 2.5 running out to the back and really I didnt notice any real difference in power I have a truck so I can haul things not race if I wanted to do that I would have a sports car plus my truck can beat most of my friends trucks anyway only cause they are lifted with 35's or bigger tires. Only lifted truck I have a hard time keeping up with is my buddys 97 ram 2500 5.9 turbo cummins
