Default Help resetting P0700 error

I am getting this error after running low on tranny fluid, and tranny going into limp mode. Is there a way to reset the error in the TCM?? Is there any point in getting a OBD 2 reader to clear the error and possibly reset the limp mode, or get any more info from the computer??

Will a OBD code reader read any more detail? or help reset the error bringing the tranny out of limp mode?

The fluid level is right on and nice red colour.

I have a 4.7L engine

Thanks,
Harold

You can check the FAQ in this section for the list of codes and how to read them and reset without a reader. Double check the code you got. Here is the link https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1052121-post2.html

This is what our list says. The EATX Controller DTC has failed. I don't know what that is, but if you really need check the Stickies for the service manual and find out.

P0700 EATX Controller DTC Present This SBEC III or JTEC DTC indicates that the EATX or Aisin controller has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a CCD (EATX) or SCI (Aisin) message. The specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via CCD or from the Aisin via ISO-9141.

I got a rebuild of the tranny. It now takes a bit of time when I put it into drive before it engages.

Take your battery cable off for a little while. That should reset everything.
