That was sarcasm. 80 is speeding in America, and there is no reason to drive that fast.

You're right there is no reason to go that fast but people do. I realize that 55 is perfectly 'legal' but its extremely unsafe on roads with moderate to heavy traffic. When there is a group of cars going 75-80 and then one car is putting along at 55 it can create an accident. I'm not saying its right to go 75, i don't drive 75. I drive 70. But when the flow of traffic is going 80 sometime you need to in order to aviod a bad situation. You'll wish you used that extra gallon of gas when the rear end of your car is gone.

Is that a little extreme? Yeah, it probably is. But I'm just trying to make a point. You're right 55 is just about optimum gas consumption speed, and perfectly legal. But sometimes can be horribly unsafe. Not just for you, but for other people as well. Now if you drive on a highway with no cars, by all means go 55. But don't try doing it on 95 through New Haven, Stanford and into NY.

superchips aren't bogus its the hyperchips or whatever that are...with my superchips i get the same maybe .5 mpg better then stock when its on 87 and on performance its maybe 1 mpg better or so...one of the biggest things to get better mpg if your on main roads which i know this is pretty hard because its random but having the wind behind you pushing you will do wonders i have been getting 18.3-18.8 going to and from school but yesterday i had a 20-30 mph wind pushing me south the whole way and i got 20 so if you can do that you'll get really good mpg haha but i think you'd be really happy with a superchips especially since yours is auto and you can get the 3715 model for 180 or cheaper now a days.

I understand your point, but it really shouldn't be too much of a factor except when traffic is super heavy.

I just want you to know that I have forgotten more about car fuel efficiency than most will ever know.

You'd be surprised. I don't know where you live but drive in NY,CT,NJ, or Mass for a couple days. It doesn't matter if there is a lot of traffic. The flow is going 80. Unless of course its crazy packed and therefore a traffic jam. But you'd be surprised how many cars can be going 80 at the same time.

You can get a superchips much cheaper on ebay. Just make sure its not locked.

Don't even waste your time or money on an $85 paper weight.

I can vouch for that

My superchip was alot more expensive..but I have a 5.9.. a little trick I found out when I bought mine is that if you use a credit or debit card with a low limit the sale won't go through online...I sent them an email...and got the shipping waived and a 20 dollar discount...plus you're getting it from the factory. Just some food for thought.
