well, i've never done it, but i'd say it is. you'd need to press it out/in using a press or vise/sockets. is the bearing number stamped on the old one? something like 205 or 203 or similar.

how much is an idler pulley at the parts store ?

The whole pulley will run you about $15, and is easy to swap out. Is there any reason you don't want to replace the whole thing?

Default idler pulley

Hi all,

Here in Québec, the idler pulley cost is $45.66 + tx which is about $51.00 !!!

My neighbour is a mechanic and got a bunch of bearing, so yesterday i took my pulley of ( which is very easy ) and check with him and he had a replacement. So i took my worn-out bearing of and replaced it with a new one.
I cleaned the pulley, reassembled-it and now it look and run like a brand new one for $ 0.00

That's the reason i asked for the bearing replacement.

Thank's all and have a nice day
