Lightbulb Roll bar?

I'm thinking of building my own roll bar located behind my cab with a row of 4 bright lights across. It'll be easier to just keep it black but that's fine with me. Would I have to cut a hole in the box to mount it to the frame? Or would it fit right down behind the cab? Also any other suggestions would help

Most roll bars just mount to the floor of the bed and not actally the frame. Only roll bars I had to deal with that mount to the frame is jeep wrangler but that makes sense since there is nothing else to protect you.

mount to the top of the box rails... as long as your not using it for protection and it's more for lights.. it should be fine. I Tie my dirtbike down to there sometimes.

As long as it had 2 bolts for each leg then it will be fine just bolted most roll bars that are aftermarket have 4 holes for each leg but you dont need that many. This is the roll bar in my buddys ram 2 go to the bed floor and 2 go on top of the wheel well. and actually the front 2 legs only have 1 bolt each cause to go to the other side was too much of a pain.
