Default Need ideas for perfomance mods

i need some more mods, but they cant be too expensive because my dad says the truck is only worth $2000 cause he's been in a couple wrecks and wont let me do anything outragous to it but i think since we got under it this weekend to put the exhaust on and its not to bad under there he'll be more willing. But so far i have an edelbrock intake, and a magnaflow exhaust, and tons of other cosmetic and audio stuff. but im really looking for preformance. But i would like to know how to lower the back 1-2 inches to make it level
Thanks

cams, tuner, headers, larger tb, electric fan, hiflow cat, and i think for the 5.2 you can get an msd ignition.

lol i cant, i dont know that much. theres a thread from a few days ago about cams. theres some info on there. but i can tell you its going to be expensive, cams plus a tune/tuner. its easier for the 4.7 because they make HO direct replacement cams so you dont need a tune. do some internet searches.

im not trying to be mean or anything but the fact that you even ask that question says its beyond your capabilities. ive taken 3 years of automotive training and have been workin on cars/trucks/dirtbikes for the past 10 years and i still wouldnt mess with the heads on my personal daily driver w/o some help from someone who has done it before. by ur user name i take it your dad gave it to u? if so ask him for some help itll be a great learning experience and some quality time with your dad which you cant get enough of either but if you feel up for it go for it

Are you serious... heads are easy as hell to take off... especially on these motors...

Just use the Felpro gasket for a LA 360 and some ARP Stunds or head bolts when you reinstall... heads are VERY Easy.. all you do is unbolt and then put back on. U been going to school for how long? Sheesh give me a set of tools and a garage and ill take the heads off... you learn by doing, reading books is alright, but the real learning comes from hands on... like i said in my other thread about cams.

I feel very sorry for you if you been working on cars/trucks/whatever for 10 years and still afraid to mess with heads. Doesn't your school give you test heads/blocks to work on? Or is it just read a book and then think your a pro?
