okay for the first 30 seconds or so it makes a noise, but sounds kinda like air from the fan ?

i think the old one did the same thing also.

 

i get the same thing everytime w/ my 4.7l. goes way after a mile.

i'm going 2 replace it w/ an efan anyway.

 

Yeah that's what mine does too. It did it on my other Dakota (2000) pretty often too. On my 01 it goes away after a mile or so but right now it's cold in the morning here, about 45 degrees and it howls pretty loud till the fluid gets dispersed. Better that than to be siezed up I guess. Thanks for the info.
