Default Water pump problem leads to P0305

My water pump went out on my 2004 dakota v6 getting water and antifreeze all over the motor. After I replaced the water pump the truck started missing and threw code P0305.

My first thought was water in the distributor but I can't find a distributor. Any help would be appreciated. My wife gets real angry when her car is not at her disposal.

P0305 (M) Cylinder #5 Mis-Fire Misfire detected in cylinder #5. If you have no distributor I would check all the spark plugs and the wiring and connector at each plug. Probably one of the coil on plug connectors at one of the plugs closest to the water pump got antifreeze on it and it's not firing now which caused the P0305 code to set. Sorry I don't know which engine you have so I have no idea which cylinder is #5. CRC makes a really good electrical contact cleaner you might use to clean everything up at the plug/cylinder.
