Default performance muffler

i blew my muffler out the other day and decided "why not get a performance muffler instead of the weak quiet stock ones" so what are some good mufflers that will give me a more agressive tone with out breaking the bank. a buddy told me i can get cherrybombs for like 20-30 bucks also wat size are my pipes and what offset would i need?

offset is only for rims. it should be a 2.5 inch pipe, but if you get a 2.25 or 2.75 the shop can just use an adapter so its not that crucial to get the right diameter.

this thread will definately bring up the magnaflow vs. flowmaster dibate again, its happened many of times, i haven't owned a mag, but i got a fm super 44 and i love it, its the loudest fm makes. just spend the money and get stainless so u aint gotta worry about it fm now offers their mufflers in stainless and mags always have been.

i was saying the weak quiet STOCK muffler i kno that there are quiet performance mufflers but i want a little loudness lol and some mufflers are offset and id rather not spend 90 bucks on a flowmaster (even though theyre my pref) id rather get something cheap like a $20 cherry bomb

heres my truck:

flowmaster 40 no cat, 2.5" pipe from front y back, 318

flowmaster and magnaflow both sound great and are much louder than stock
the debate between the two is kind of pointless to me

you should like both

as thunder said stock is 2.5", if your only replacing the muffler and staying with the single exit exhaust just get the single center in/single center out model

if u don't want the stainless u can spray the muffler w/ header coating. i did this to my fm muffler and all the welds. thats what the guy at the shop told me because he was out of the spray. 2 month still no rust.
