Anybody use Zmax, I love this stuff!! It made a big difference in my Dak when I used it a year ago.. I just found out they make it for the transmission and the power steering system.. I bought the whole kit, cant wait to bring all my components back to life!!!

What exactly did you buy last year that worked so good? The fuel cleaner?

I bought the Engine formula and the Fuel System Formula.. It came in a kit for $30 last year.. Now on Zmax's website you can get 2 12oz bottles(not sure if its 2 Engine formula's or 1 of each), It comes with the Transmission formula, and the power steering formula for free.. It did an amazing job on the Engine when I ran it a year ago, I can't wait to see what it can do to my tranny! I paid $41.00 for all of that including shipping..They want $36 at advance auto just for the Engine and Fuel Treatments..

Im not bashing this product.. If it works for you great but i like to research products as much as possible before putting anything into my truck.

Yeh I read this recently after I've been using it for years, and it seems to work great but after this time I'll probably hang this stuff up...Just in case!

Wow! Doubles bearing corrosion as compared to straight motor oil! If I were these guys I'd be getting that crap outta my truck! I learned many years ago that these snake oil additives and wiz bang mileage increasers are bull$hit ways of stealing our hard earned money. Buying name brand trusted products and following service intervals is the best way to good performance.

Good idea, Zmax is garbage. I used to be a sales manager for AutoZone. My fellow coworker at the time got the zmax fuel/oil treatment pack and it actually gave him worse gas mileage in his Jeep(has the nice old Dodge 318). Lucas Fuel Injector treatment is the way to be. It lubricates, cleans, and protects like no other. Biggest problem with fuel is ethanol. If you don't drive flex-fuel, your car/truck wont like this 10% ethanol crap very much. Ethanol will build up in the fuel system and just gunk everything up. Lucas will clean that out with one small bottle, and then after it lubricates the fuel system it will protect it from the ethanol building up for roughly 3,000 miles. I used to have a stratus with the 2.7L my mpgs went from 26hwy to roughly 28hwy. in my dakota now, 18hwy to about 21hwy. Same goes for oil, Lucas all the way if you want a stabilizer (Synthetic or conventional)

Thunder98110, if you want better throttle response (it will give you better gas mileage too), 1. go get a can of Throttle Body/Intake cleaner.
2. Pop the top off of your air box
3. start the truck
4. spray the cleaner into the intake until the engine sounds like its gonna shut off then open up the throttle on the throttle body. dont be afraid to let it rip
5. repeat step four until there is no more white smoke coming out of the exhaust.

The first time i did this with my dakota, i made the mistake of doing it in the garage. so much white smoke that i couldn't see anything. i recommend doing this outside.

^^^ yea i have tried everything from cleaning the tb/iac, sea foam, gumout, and now zmax. i will have to give the throttle body cleaner a try when the engine is running this time.

Just FYI you are not supposed to spray throttle body cleaner while the truck is running. You should remove the throttle body from the truck and clean it. If you do spray it while the truck is running there is potential for a fire. Also the engine may throw some codes and run like crap afterwords.
