Default Oil pressure

Hi everyone i have a 2003 dakota 3.9 idiot lights rebuilt motor just installed new oil sender. The idiot light shows no oil pressure i took off filter it was full of oil took out sender oil is pumping out sender hole my ? is if oil is coming out of the sender hole would that mean i have oil pressure thanks in advance

You can get a manual oil pressure gauge and screw it in at the oil pressure sending unit. It will tell you if the factory gauge or the sending unit is bad. Make sure the electrical connectors on the wire end and the sending unit are clean too, I have heard others say theirs was dirty and causing erratic readings.
