Default Ebay Air Intakes?

I know these are not going to be as good as quality as a name brand cold air intakes... but are the ebay air intakes worth the 40 - 50 dollars?

If you have a 3.7 or 4.7 I like this 'homemade' one so to speak. I don't know if I trust the ones on ebay, they should be fine but you never know what you're getting.

I bought one of those filters for my 98 Jetta a while back and it worked great... They did give me the wrong breather tube size though, but besides that u get what u pay for.... I just bought a few Spectre tubes and the big Spectre air filter from Autozone for like $60 total..I've had it on my truck for about 3 years, and still works great.. I just buy the K&N filter cleaner..

thanks for the replies. I think I will probably go that route and just make one up rather then buy the ebay intake. what is the round box that is the stock air tubing connects to? that box stays when replacing tubing and filter correct?

i did basically this just went into the stock airbox instead of a filter on the end http://www.turbomopar.com/craig/dako...dakintake.html

just realized you don't have a 4.7 or 3.7 haha but still its the basic principle should be able to rig something up the same way
