i have an 02 and am looking at getting that seat in the middle as well but my center console is a little different that the one shown here do you think that if i found a seat that it would bolt right up or would i have to mod something to make it fit

Im thinking if you already have a console in your truck that space wont fit a middle seat. Like ex my truck has a middle seat I think the 2 bucket seats are going to be smaller so it can fit the big seat in there.

 

Good thought, I'll probably have to take all the seats from a dakota in the junkyard...

IDK, my mother has a 2000 model cc with the middle seat and our seats look the same. I haven't pulled a tape across them or anything but I've had hers out before to clean the carpet and I really do think they are the same as mine.

 

i think if you would get rid of the center console you would also need the floor console like mine that is just around the shifter and 4wd shifter to make up for that section. I am looking for the opposite as the main poster haha i have the middle seat that I never use and want the center console haha he said that his buckets are worn out though but if anyone with a 97-00 would want to swap let me know because i'm interested. they changed in 01 where the trans tunnel isn't as pronounced and the floor is more flat so they dont fit

 

this is the console i'm talking about if you were to swap out your center console for a seat...mines broken the bolts on the front of it are stripped so when i shift into the top gears 1,3,5 it comes up off the floor and then rattles around tho so i'm either replacing that or a center console and deleting the seat pref the center console
