tire question.
Hello all, I have a 98 dodge dakota sport CL 4x4, auto, 5.2L, currently performace stock. I just bought a 2-3 inch leveling kit, 3 inch body lift, and some 16 inch AR rims for it, and was wondering if I can fit BFG 35's under it. My friend has a set of four he will give me if they would fit. Right now my truck is running tall 15's (forget size atm). I just thought I would find out if the tires would fit before I go spend the cash on new rubber. I was also wondering if anybody knows where to get the flush rear bumper for a dakota, I've seen a few in pics and just can't find them anywhere. Thanks a lot!
thanks a ton. I was just calling it a rear bumper and getting the MFG bumper. I just think the flat look is a little more sporty than the MFG version. Now if only I can find a new hood to replace the factory I'll be set. Just haven't found "the right one".
what style u looking for cowl, srt, shaker...?
and with the roll pan do you have a tow package? if so you will either modify the bumper so the hitch will stick through or remove/modify your tow package

I was thinking a cowl. I do have a tow package, and kind of figured that I would have to modify the bumper, but it doesn't look too hard to do. If I was lowering the truck I would go with shaker but since I plan on lifting it i'm going the offroad look, I just think that a new bumper would help the look. I was looking for some of those metal off road bumpers but they seem to be a little pricey for my range. thanks for the help.
Now this where it gets different I see that its a 4x4 how were u gonna lift it tbar crank suspension lift or body lift if u did a body lift u would had to modify the bumper even more and as far as modifyivit for the tow hitch that shouldn't be that hard they r just fiberglass
Have u looked at lmc truck I think I saw the metal style bumpers in there fairly in expensive I no they have roll pans and cowl hoods

With adding a 3 inch lift and a leveling kit you can probably get the 35”s on it but to be honest they are going to rub unless you do a small cut on the front bumper, also depending on the width of the tires and the backspacing of your rims you may also get some rubbing on the inside of the fender well. If you have a local tire shop that you work with put the lift and the leveling kit on then have them put just one of the 35” on the front and set it back down to see what your clearance is going to be.
