Default Do's and Don'ts of a ABS Air Intake

I am bored today and just sold a couple items on craigslist and have some cash. I was thinking of making one of these today http://www.turbomopar.com/craig/dako...dakintake.html

Anyone who has done this before have any advice before i go and buy the parts?

Anything about the installation i should know about?
In the link he mentioned something about a PCV breather and the filler material being jamed into the end of the pipe?

I am not very fluent with the specifics but i know where the ait intake stuff is.

Thanks for your time!

Also I've heard using PVC under the hood is a no no something about it releasing chlorine gas when hot which can cause engine problems. I'm not 100% sure on that so you might want to do some research.

yea ive been looking around for things onthe pcv but i havnt found any posts with someone actually having that specific intake installed.

Ill keep looking tho, thanks for the warning about the pcv. I was gonna actually do it tommorow but now im second guessing it. maybe i can find a cheap air intake at autozone or something. Anything is better than the stock box.

the ones at my local 4wheel parts were upwards of 300 bucks so thats not an option.

I ahve ahd an ABS intake for almost a year now with no problems. here are a couple threads with good info for you.
My first stage:

Second Stage:
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...-jai-fini.html
I used a mounting point from the stock air intake muffler to mount that bracekt.

that was most helpful sir. But what did you do with the Pollution Control Valve Breather?

On the site i linked in my orig post he mentions something about stuffing the pcv filler crap side ways into something, i am just confused by that.

Ummm I don't know the part number of the filter. It's an AFE with a 3" opening.
What I did with the PCV valve was I took one piece of my set up and before I glued it all together, I drilled a hole and tapped 1/2" NPT threads into it. I then cleaned it up really good and then put some thread tape on a 1/2" NPT/rubber tubing adapter and screwed it in. The fitting I used was a 90* but you could use any if you have enough line.

Bpark, the difference between ABS and PVC is the actual material used in the piping. I think there is a link in one of my above threads.
