Hello, I have a 2001 Quad Cab, 4.7L AWD, almost 159,000 miles. Here in Delaware we had a few major snow storms. I used the 4wd a few times and all seemed to work well. I noticed once the roads were mostly clear that I had a rubbing sound up front I thought maybe some road salt/sand got on the rotors and would go away after some time and a good wash. No such luck, 2 weeks later the rubbing sound is still there. It happens going straight or when turning. Does this sound like bad wheel bearing? Just seems odd that the noise started without warning.

Thank you.

could be a hub, but one thing they teach you in tech school, is "K.I.S.S." (Keep it simple, stupid). So don't overlook something thats almost to easy to miss, such as a stuck caliper or poor tire tread, etc.

Thanks. I will try and take the wheels off and check for anything obvious. The tires are new so it should not be bad tread.
