I just finished putting a 3 inch body lift onto my truck and the only thing I can recommend is watch for any rust that may be started on the frame and take care of it while you are under there.
Another small piece of advice after a trial and error on my part. Once you have removed the fan shroud or broken it out enough for the fan not to hit it take the time secure the electrical wire coming out of the back of the electric fan. If you don’t it may work loose and and catch on the clutch fan and break the mounts to the fan and/or sever the wire.

I think body lifts are for ppl that want a nice lookin truck on a budget and it could also be a little about ride quality...since your not messin with the suspension itself, it retains most of the stock ride characteristics. Im planning on doing a 3 inch body lift

and I find it difficult to find a suspension lift for my 03 quadcab that doesn't involve changing the front brakes unless u go with a smaller backspacing on your wheels....I put a 3" performance accessories body lift on my, very easy, me an my brother did it in about 4 hrs. with no issues
