CB antenna mount ideas
got a good radio, great cords, nice k40 antenna. right now i have it just behind the cab and welded a small bracket to the top of the bed. and it just will NOT tune in. i read that its possibly because its to close to the cab because when i remove it, it will tune it... where did you guys mount your antennas?
I usually mount them on the tool box in a truck, but I have also used magnet roof mounts. I have also seen people attach them to the rear bumper, I haven't ever done this, but it may be something you are interested in.
I've seen them on the rear bumper corner. If you have a whip, you can mount it to the rear bumper and bend it forward and attatch it to the front of the bed. I also have seen them mounted to the center hole on roll bars between the lights and I have a cap that I just put roof racks on, I'd mount it to the roof rack.
fk1022 in the NC dodge club mounted his on his front bumper, scroll down to the bottom

I've been looking at getting a CB as well and have been thinking about mounting places. I found a 3' off road antenna and thought that the best places would be on the rear bumper or using a bracket that goes between the hood and front fender if that makes sense.
