CB antenna mount ideas

It may be 1st Gen. but here is mine. I got the truck with the Cb mount on the truck. There was no Cb and I never got one so it is unused. I never took it off due to the hole it would leave in the fender. There was no antenna so I made a stubby out of brass to fill in the hole.



Here is what the antenna is suppose to look like.

I have a K-40 whip magnet mount smacked on the roof, tuned up nicely

nice job guys, i remounted mine just as far back on the bed rail as the coax would let me (about half way back) and it solved all the SWR and interference problems (mainly from the aftermarket electric fan) except i still get some from the motor, my friend had this radio (Cobra WX ST II) and he didnt get the same noise?? o well

Do you have your cb hard wired in? I have been told the reason you get interferance from the motor is because you dont have a good enough ground to your cb.

i bought a really nice noise filter for my positive cable, and id the CB grounded in the engine bay, and is now grounded in the kick panel on the driver side.. i am going to buy a filter for the ground side as well, if that doesnt work then i guess i will have to live with it
