I haven't done it to my Dak yet but In my old El'Camino I form cut a piece of plywood and covered it with 4" of foam rubber and color matched vinyl. I set it on braces in the bed to act as a Toneau cover/bed for camping and still had room underneath it for gear. It worked out great at the drive in too as I made the foam about 4" thicker at the Cab end to act as a sort of pillow. I have pics somewhere but I"ll be damned if I can find them.

Well I have this problem with not having enough light one of the things im going to do is a hid kit for the headlights and the other thing is my cargo light doesnt provide enough light. I spend like 10 min in my bed when we are camping just to find the thing im looking for so I am going to put some kind of led lights under my bed rail. Someone else on here made a tent for in there bed and I also want to do the same. There is not enough room to sleep inside the truck(ive done it once and ill never do it again)If I had a tent in my bed I would prob seriously live in my truck all summer lol

Hmmm, I can feel my own wheels turning now. I have some super bright Led strips designed as under glow accent lights and they're about 5 ft long. I bet that would work great under the bedrails.

not related to the tent thing, but my buddy owns a 85 f150 and we built a ladder rack outa L-beams, plywood, and put diamond plate on top of that in the bed, and put leds on the underside so if u sat under it there was light, then put couches up on it for when we go to truck and tractor pulls so we can see everything, its hilarious, next year im bringing a charcoal grill and wanna put a lamp up there just for it to be hilarious
we get stares at the pulls like look at these idiots but they are all secretly jealous.
