I have a 2002 Dakota with a 4.7 l engine. I think I probably have a leaking head gasket. No overheating yet, but I am continually blowing coolant out through the overflow tank. when running the engine with the filler cap off (it is in the line going to the radiator) gas is continually burping out. Sound familiar to anyone? So if it turns out it is only on one side, should I go ahead and have both sides replaced while they are in there? Any other advice? Thanks.

 

Yep sounds like a Head Gasket issue for sure. Might as well do both seeming *******ly no additional time to do the other.
