Losing control of your vehicle is ticket worthy? What happens if I hydroplane? Do I get a ticket?

Hydroplaning would be caused by driving too fast for the current conditions, which is considered reckless driving even if you are under the posted speed limit.

Yup... sadly, thats true. But another cause of hydroplaning is worn out tires, which could land you an improper equipment ticket.

The only time I've ever been pulled over is for not wearing a seatbelt and was given a ticket. The part that pissed me off was that I was less than 1/2 a mile away from my house driving through my neighborhood. But I can't complain too much cause I know how much stupid stuff I've done without a cop being present... from driving triple digits to coming around turns sideways, to lighting up the tires for 3 gears taking off at an intersection. Also, since a seatbelt ticket is a safety violation and not a moving violation, I still have a clean driving record.

when i was young and stupid i tried to make good time going up north. got radar clocked by an airplane. 72 in a 55, 6 points and 350bucks. 45 minutes later i passed a motorhome, oncoming cop clocked me at 72 in a 55 again! 6 points 350 bucks. so i lost my licence in 45 minutes $700 in fines and had to take a point reduction class. my car was impounded for 2 days for misc. defective safety equipment( tires. tint. shaved door handles. loud exhaust. obstuction of drivers view, i had gauges on my a pillar.) the cop was just sticking it to me. oh yeah they said they could have got me for not having the proper plates on the car. i packed a V8 into my 94 cavalier so they said it should have had special custom builder plates or some crap. what a dick he was.
