Default flowmaster ceramic rust proofing

i keep hereing people complain about their rusted out flowmasters, so i gave this a try. i used vht's flameproof header coating, a wire brush and rough sandpaper. i did one coat when i got the muffler in dec. and it held up good, just some flaking beacase i did it in -32* weather.

this time i prepd right and put three coats like it says on the can. then u run it for 10 minutes and cool it three times to cure it.
i got some pics off my cell

dam truck bashing threads are the best. lol

on my exaust, i only did the back half. i'll probally do the cat and the rest
of the pipes but they're ten years old and rusty as s***, but w/o holes.
maybe it'll buy me some more time.

Does ceramic coating do anything for heat? I ask because I'm thinking of doing it to my exhaust manifolds and cat because they put quite a bit of heat into my engine bay. Maybe even the valve covers will get it too.

I think i looked at the same stuff you used:

Thoughts anyone?

I'm just trying to reduce the amount of heat in the engine bay. It would benefit everything, but also would cool off the air for my air intake. I was thinking about painting the air intake with the aluminum color spray above, but it would ruin the bling factor of it all. I am just looking for insulation options.

I'm already looking into extending the filter and getting it further away from the motor and closer to the headlight.
