Default Cel is on =|

So after my tune up, oil, spark plugs, etc....My check engine light went off, could it be because of me not changing my cables?

Any input welcomed, thanks!

So is the light on? If so pull the code with a reader and look at the FAQ section up top to find out what it means

What year is your truck? And what engine do you have?

You probably have a bad purge solenoid. On a V6, it is mounted on the fender liner between the fender and the battery. Either it is bad or for some reason it is not receiving voltage. I can read the Service Manual at home tonight and maybe get more info for you.

When did the CEL come on? Was it immediately after your tune up? If so, check to be sure you didn't knock something loose at the solenoid.

On my 5.2 mine is mounted on the firewall on the driver side has like 3 small hoses going to it has like a light green cap on it. My light has been on for over a year and I think I need a new one. Before you get a new one check the end of your rubber lines and make sure they are not cracked then go under your truck on the drivers side and there will be a big black box connected to the frame and there will be 3 hoses going to it check them to make sure they are all good.
