I had to replace that molded hose and didn't feel like paying thru the *** at the dealer so I took a small hose and jammed it in a large hose and it works fine ill go outside and take a pic don't no what sizes they r I just cut the molded one off and took it to advance and got ones that looked like they would work

No, the large hose I was talking about is the one that goes from the bottom of the LDP, curves up over the left valve cover and goes down in front of the firewall and mates up to a hard plastic hose. The hard plastic hose is the one that runs back to the evap canister. My hoses back at the canister looked OK but if I have to I will do the same as what you did.

I ran around town this afternoon on some short trips, so far the CEL is still off.

I'm going out on a limb here, hoping I don't jinx myself. But it has been a week now and I have driven about 450 miles since I replaced the emissions hoses and installed the cash for clunkers LDP, and the CEL still has not come back on yet.

So either I was right about the LDP being damaged in the accident, or I had minor cracks and splits in the emissions hoses under the hood causing the P0441 small evap leak code, or maybe it was both.

I'm just glad the CEL is out and it only cost me about $30.00 total to fix it. I have heard that P0441 can be hard code to get rid of, takes a lot of trial and error.

I have an 01 Dakota with the same problem. I can reset my codes and the light will stay off for about 2000 miles then come back on. I just left the light on and check the codes about once a week or so to see if there is any new ones. I have traced about every vacuum hose on the truck and still cant find the problem so i just give up on it. as long as it doesnt affect the way the truck runs im not gonna mess with it.
