Improving MPG
because some people know everything...
You gotta remember if you buy an intake, where or how long is the return on investment. Even if you gained 2mpg how long is it going to make back the money you just spent on it. And I doubt you will gain more then .5 mpg.

also all these discussions u also have to take in climate and altitude.
i just filled up and got 18.3mpg where as during the winter i get 14-15
got cai, exhaust, sct, and a fairly heavy foot lol
at sea level as well, in theory shouldn't i see the best gas mileage because air is denser here and weather isn't too extreme bout 30-40 in winter 70s in spring and 90s in summer

I switched to synthetic on my last oil change and went from 14 to 15. Seeing if i can get little more that's why i was askin bout cold air intake if its just gonna give me like 1 better than i dunno if i wanna pay for it. First i'm gonna tune up everything see if that does anything.
yea i probaly average 15. in the winter it goes way done if i have to use 4wd alot.
but like i said if ur gonna drop money on a exaust do it cause u want a loud exaust.
not for a gain in mpg. u might want to look into a tuner some have gas saveing settings. but nothings 100%

Don't fill your gas tank competely up when you refuel. My truck was averaging 12-12.5 mpg running from a full tank to near empty. Lately I have only been putting in 10 gallons of fuel at a time and it has my mpg up above 14 now. Not a huge increase, but every bit helps.
