Question Dakota Sport question, about Models and lifts?

I have a 99 Dakota Sport, 3.9L V6, 131" wheel base ( extended cab) auto.
Now i have seen other Dakota Sports with 31" tires and color matching wheel flares, stock.
Mine has 29" tires and NO wheel flares. Is there any other difference between the Sport models other then the tires and looks? Like, is there more lift on the ones running 31" Tires from the factory?
I'm looking to run 33" tires, and i want to make sure my truck will clear them. I was either going to get a 2" lift kit ( Keys and blocks) or crank up the torsion bars and get blocks. Can the front end be cranked up that much, to clear 33" tires? Or will it just be better to get the lift kit?

Also i wanted to know if, after i install the lift( if i do) and I take it to get a 4 wheel alignment will they be able to align it properly?
Thanks...

Just as an FYI...

My '99 SLT 4x4 V8 has 31s on it and when the wheel is fully turned I will get a rub if I hit a bump. Its pretty minor and really rare, but I would not try to go any bigger without giving myself a little bit more space in there...

Im running 31's with no rub and no cranked tb they say if you crank them you can get 33's to fit but I am not 100% positive about that.

yeah i heard that too. I wanted to know if it is just better to stick with 31" tires or crank up the bars and get 2" blocks for the back, and see if i can run 33" tires?
I want to make sure that they will fit that way, before i go and get the wrong set of tires...

2000 v6 slt 4x4- I was running 33x12.50's with the bars turned all the way up. Stock was a 31x1050, with about 3-4 turns to your TB you will clear a set of 32x11.5(currently) With a set of 33" tires you WILL rub even with trimmed bumpers... I have not had any rubbing issues with the 32" tires tho.

With 33x12.50x15(TB all the way)
