Default Another rear diff. problem!

Ok...I have a 00 v6 qc 4x4. It has the 3.55, 11x2 rear drum brakes. The only other info I can get of the glove box sticker is "Rear=IRA" and "Corporate". As I was making a sharp right hand turn I heard a loud clunk that came from the drivers rear wheel and immediately that wheel started to chirp like a full locked posi unit. No matter which was I turn from a stop the drivers rear wheel does this. Now sometimes it will clunk again and it seems to work correctly but only for a very short span. Is there a quick fix with this symptom? Or should I just get another rear assembly? I found one alittle over an hour from me that has less than 30K on it for $419.

is it look like the 8.25 or 9.25 and sounds like somethings wrong back there...take the cover off and if you have metal chunks or shavings then it imploded thats what happened to mine when i went to change the diff fluid 2 years ago http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/w...Mopar_axle.jpg

my 8.25 made clunking sounds a while back and when i tore it apart, it appeared that i only needed to reset the backlash on it.
