i spoke with hemifever (dodge sct tuner) and herese what he had to say:
I can do a tq mgmt delete that SC doesn't grab from the engine side of things, give you a better timing curve for a little more part throttle response. And it's $275 for the basic tuning. If you ever got a wideband a/f gauge and wanted to dial in the fueling 100% then that's possible with custom tuning which is $375 or just a $100 upgrade once you have the $275 option.
If you made a dyno pull and got your airfuel info you could email me the graph. I could then make fuel changes based on that. That would require custom tuning as well.
I offer two types of tuning packages. Price includes the tuner and tuning shipped to the US. For 5.2 and 5.9 magnum engines, you'll want to have a 180 tstat and ensure your plenum gasket has been fixed or isn't leaking. For 4.7 and V10 customers, a 180 stat.
A "can/as is" tune will run $275. I'll increase your speed limiter and reduce/remove tq mgmt. I change the timing and fuel curve but no extra improvement customizations for cam/heads are used. I'll use a timing curve that works really well. If for some reason it's too aggressive for your octane quality I will correct that. I got hosed back in 2001 when I got my '01 Ram custom flashed and it spark knocked. The company wanted another $300 to customize the timing table. If you choose this and then want custom programming later it's just a $100.
$375 is for custom programming. That includes unlimited updates on the current configuration. If you change cams or heads, etc and need more tuning later, there are no fee's. If you switch trucks and need a completely new tuning config, there will be a $50 fee. A wideband a/f gauge is pretty much required for tuning with heads, cam installs.
