im going thru reeses product line and the hitches they show for my show lol i cant find..the one i have bolted on maybe an old model or something their website is sorta odd.. oh well heres a random thought,.....

ive always been told a short bed is anything under the 8ft bed of a long bed of a full size truck.. but someone was telling me that a short bed is a 4.5 ft bed while my 6.5 bed is considered a standard bed .. so makes me curious to my whole hitch buying experience @ AZ.. when they looked at my truck and said yep short bed.. and picked up the hitch for me and then the hitch rec is not flush with bumper..so damn maybe wrong size hitch >?

pics of hitch,.,.

basically what i was told if you look at the L brackets per my hitch guy her told me thats whats taking the load of the tongue on and big hit will bend it down and id be sol.. so he drilled some holes and remounted it for me so its solid to frame..so he never used the L brackets that fasten to bumper frame he said no different then using your bumper ball and using that

Well then he did what I was going to do if you follow the directions the last bolt hole gets connected to the truck frame thats it what I was thinking was drill a few more holes and get atleast 4 holes to be on the truck frame but in doing that you would be sliding the hitch back and there for it would be behind your bumper more. I will never haul anything over 1,500-2,000lb(not counting the trailer) any way my tranny is bad as it is ill haul a trailer with a few atv's or the biggest thing will be our kubota. Anything bigger ill just use the hemi like I am now lol

This is all the bigger the kubota is so I should be fine.
