Problem is the headlamp adjustment, these screws are breaking out the housing, which make them almost impossible to adjust correctly.

Other than that i do love them, but beware, you'll have some tweaking to do.
I just like that white LED stripe. I am running these actually and am very much aware of all the tweaking. They have the same issue with the adjustment screws. The little gear pack which allows one to adjust them "remotely" while they are installed is useless, as all the gears have stripped. They will adjust however, if you take them off and access the main adjustment screws/bolts at the back. Not an easy process as you have to adjust, install, remove and reinstall when tweaking, but once you get it right, that's it. I'm running all LED bulbs in them and the high/low beams always require adjustment when switching to a different brand of bulb.

I could take some pics tommorow in daylight if you wan't ?

It's just like you discribed, you'll have to get them out, adjust and put them back in a few times.
But again, if you have them set correct, you don't have to look at it no more fot the future.

We are not allowed to run LED's in these headlights overhere, due inspection regulations, so i have the original halogen lamps....

Take a pic of it with just the running lights on. I'm assuming that's when you see the "Ford" like part light up. Pity you can't run LEDs. What about in between inspections?

I've got these adjusted perfectly, so that the cutoff point is just below the top edge of the average trunk lid when stopped at a light or following behind cars at average distance. Never been flashed or received any complaints and I've been behind many a cop car. I must have mounted and dismounted like 5 times. Problem here is, many don't go these pains to adjust. I'm in the deep south...land of big pickups with huge light bars that will leave you seeing spots when they pass.

This pic i posted is with only the runninglights on, just the LED square function, but because this is so bright you don't see it;s contour very well on my picture....
We named this daytime driving lights overhere.

The runninglights should be the indicator dual function, but this is prohibited overhere as well, so i only have this lamp as orange indicator light.

As for the adjustment, every year it's checked with inspection, with a headlight adjustment machine, so they are set correct.
Like you said, i could run from inspection to inspection with the LED's but it's a struggle to set them before inspection when i have to put the halogens back in, so i'll leave it like this, btw, i don't have complaints on the output, but i do think LED's are better...

I will try to make one more, just a minute, let me step outside.

Thanks for the pics. Now that I look back at the first pics, I can see what you're saying. Those are bright for sure. Probably more defined to the naked eye, as you said.
