Harbor freight is good for some stuff what ever you do dont put a lot of torque on those sockets I broke like 4 of them thats why all my hand tools are craftsman a bit more cash but life time no questions asked warranty is worth it.

$80 to have someone do it?? Wow shocks are cake man. All you need is a set of wrenches and maybe a set of vice grips, which you should have any way. How do you change your oil with out a set of wrenches.

I keep a whole set of tools in the box in my bed. Never know when you will need them. I have a box with all the wrenches you'll need and sockets, pliars, allens, screwdrivers, ect.

Habor Freight is ok sometimes, but there stuff is cheap. You get what you pay for. In our garage at home almost every thing is Craftsman. All their tools come with a lifetime warranty. Can't beat that.

It takes a long time to put together a nice set of tools. You just need to get a few things here and there and over a the course of a few years you will have a decent set. We built our garage about 15 years ago now and at the time it was empty pretty much. Now we have two tool chests full. The ones with 8 draws and what not. Along with cabinets full of other tools, chemicals, drills, sanders, circular saws ect. Along with a shelf full of cleaning supplies like car wash, wax, tire shine, all that. Then we have two bolt bins we got from work and filled them with both standard and metirc bolts. Took a few years but now our garage is packed.

I get by with pretty much a 154 piece craftsman socket set and metric and standard ratchet wrenches set of screw drivers few mis items like vise grips and pliers thats about all I ever use. Most people can make do with all that. Although we have a whole tool box filled with stuff lol
