Default Floor Board wet

Hey guys i just got done driving from florida to michigan in my dodge dakota and i noticed in ohio when i was at a gas station that my passenger floorboard was wet. I did keep the ac in the car on the whole trip on max since i brought my dogs up with me. I wanted to see what you guys might think it be. Since im thing it might just be a clogged ac drain whole. or the heater condensor. Also let me know what you think of putting Rhino bed liner in the cab on the floorboards instead of having carpet. Also please give me info on how to find the ac drain tube please.

I dont know how to answer your question about the wet floor.. But your on the right idea with the bedliner, Might be a little choppy in the cab with that. try using rubber matts as the newer trucks come out with. Much easier to keep clean and less stinky LOL! I was thinking it also

yea i know i mean i did some research on all the dakotas and some sooner or later have the ac drainage get backed up onto the floorboards of their trucks. and that happened to me i still have to fix it but the carpet in my truck is ruined from it. so i was thinking on putting the rhino bedliner stuff down first so no water can get in anymore from the bottom then sooner or later get new carpet for my whole truck

pull the carpet and clean it, it's only easy. that way once everything is pulled you can fix the problem and put everything back in. sorry to hear, i just recently pulled 100% of the interior out of mine. Swamped her trying to pull a bud outta the lake. truck filled up to the coin tray with water... lovely!!!!!! but she's good to go now, took a couple days drying.

You might aswell haul everything out

P.S, Try not to leave the carpet wet. get it out a.s.a.p and let it air out, these carpets have thick sponge coushins on the bottem and they soak it all in like a shamwow LOL! so pull it, let it dry and then tear into the problem.! hope you get it all fixed up!!

i believe the wet carpet means ur heater core is shot
do a search for "heater core" to find out the symptoms

I had the same issue on my dak. Turns out the drainage tube is just that a tube that sticks straight out of the firewall about 1/4-1/2 inch. It doesnt angle down or anything. The water tension was letting the water follow the lip of the tube back to the fire wall and past the seal into the cab. I tried sealing the area around the tube with silicon but it didnt work. The spot is very hard to get to as its right behind the exhaust manifold shield.

Final solution is to go to the dealer and they have a orifice tube that will slip over the tube the angle the drainage down and away from the firewall. Or just get some heater core tubing and some hose clamps and let it hang down to drip on the ground.

I have the same problem but its not with the ac drain tube that is the cause for a lot of the problems on here mine only gets wet when it rains really hard so its either coming in from my back window or front

Well, prior to tearing out the dash to get to the heater core, you may want to rule out other sources of leaks that can make you have wet carpet...
