wtf is wrong with my dakota! fuel pump on its way out?

back of throttle body had some oil on it. tried to get the o2 sensors off but
those things are welded on there.

the only code i have is P0601, but ive had the eversince i bought it.

if it was me i would try the iac my 96 did the same thikng and it was that it has the same motor too the 3.9 just my .02 cents

good to here.
sounds like you got it figured out but if it comes back i know 2 more things
that caused my truck to do the same. easiest/dumbest thing was coroded battery terminals. and the other was when i put my shroud back in i didn't hook up the two sensors on the passenger side and it cut out exactly like in your video.

My truck does this once in a great while and it turned out to be batt terminals. It would click like dead batt so I would get under the hood wiggle my positive terminal and once it started it would run like crap wouldnt idle without my foot on the gas then after about 2 min of rev's and driving around like a idiot it would be perfectly fine.

would that explain the fuel pump spazzing out (buzzing sound?)

could it be the pump losing power or somthing? if you don't have the tool
to clean the terminal get it i have to clean mine at least once a month. i even
tried those felt pads that prevent corrosion and it ate those up quick.

its been running great the last couple of days. but yeah^^ losing power or something would explain some other symptoms its had.

Could be as simple as loose connector on the pump itself or your pump might be on its way out but If its making/holding steady fuel pressure I would rule out the pump itself dying

UPDATE:

so just now at a stop light, rough idle and no power from pulling away from stop light. i think im just going to replace iac and tps. could it be a clogged cat?? hopfully its that so i can just replace it with a straight pipe!
