Default Currently Changing Waterpump.

vehicle- 97 dakota v8 4x4 auto 140k

I'm currently changing my water pump since it is leaking. At the moment I'm draining coolant out and the problem is the coolant is dark brown like mud and my radiator lines look gummed up. I would like to flush the system with my garden hose but where do I stick it?

Thanks

P.S I've own the truck for about 2 months and would never allow my fluids to be so dirty.

To be continued.....

i sure hope someone didnt add dexcool in your truck because thats what happens when they mix. You are gonna want to do a really thorough flush. The easy way is to drain at where the lower rad hose meets the rad, refill with water and a flush kit you can buy at the autoparts store. Run the truck for a long while to let that circulate. drain and refill. Repeat til clean.

Right now I'm trying to get the fan clutch off and I have the pulley held down pretty good but I'm confused which way the big nut spins on a V8?

Anybody Know?
