I have a 2003 dodge dakota qc 4.7l. I have a noise that sounds like electrial arching when I get to 60mph and above. It is an intermittent noise that is becoming more frequent. It does not seem to effect engine performance at all, and I have no codes from the cpu. None of my gauges fluctuate at all when it happens. I have changed spark plugs. It started after I had to have a new a/c compressor put in. Anybody have any ideas, it is driving me crazy!!!!

 

Sounds like one of the spark plug wires is shorting out somewhere.
