i have a 2001 crew cab dakota with the little 3.9l moter in it and i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips to get some more power out of it

First thing I did to my 2000 Dak was get rid of the rubber flap behind the grill and take off the air box snorkle and buy a drop in K&N filter,now you have some ram-air that has cost you zero dollars and has woke up the 3.9

 

I had a '98 3.9 and I ended up selling it out of frustration. I did everything external, except headers, and gas mileage/power did not significantly improve. Sorry, but the 3.9 is a turd.
