Washing a cone filter
I know the recomended ways. But could you just throw it in the dish washer? It's not oiled

ummmm i wouldnt. water might be too hot and melt something or ruin the filter as well as high pressure.

^ yea 10 bucks and you could probally use it 10 times. just dont oil the dry filter, you can also buy the cleaner seprate i think.

yea i wouldn't do it, on the k&n recharge kit i think it says to just use plain tap water not hot, i know it says not to use a high velocity water

Well the K&N kit comes with a cleaner, so you could just use the cleaner...
Or just use brake cleaner, it will do the job. It's what I used to clean the filters for my motocross bikes with...
Some people say use gasoline, but I never tried that.
