Default WHAT SIZE GAS TANK 22 or 15

97 Dakota V6 3.9L ext cab. Need to replace the fuel pump. Seems most fuel tanks are 22 gal but want to make sure before I buy the new pump module.
I sent off for the build sheet but want to get parts ordered.

markings on tank are:
52102337 . Code 221911. Assy 52102343. MSDB 471. I've tried finding these numbers on the net and Dodge sites but can't cross anything. Any help would be great. Thanks

edit: i was wrong only applied to the 01+

ull prolly have to check the owners manual or how much u fill up on a reg basis

but the options on the second gen daks were 15 for older ones, 22 for all, then 24 for the quad cabs

Then what size would I have..cuz I routinely fill in the 16's, even with fuel light on, today it went to 18.5 and I stopped it, I've had it come out the neck when it didn't click once, i stopped it at 19.75.

uve got a 22gal, my light comes on at the same time its very common in the daks for it to come on way early, i just pay attention to my tripometer to gauge when i need to fill up, usually 350mi to the tank and fill up ~20gal

and to get rid of the overfilling, mine did it when i first got hte truck, put the nozel all the way in, then just back it out a bit and u should be good
