Default Bad CTM questions

I have a 2002 Dodge dakota, the CTM is bad. My question is Would the CTM out of a 1998 Durango (same engine) work in a 2002 dakota? Would the connectors be the same? Is the CTM in the durango behind the glove box? Thanks for looking.

Another question. Would a CTM out of a full size RAM work in a Dakota?

I doubt it. But the best way to tell would be to have the dealer look up the different part numbers and see if they match. If the parts book lists the same part number for the Dakota as it does the Ram or Durango, then either CTM would probably work in either truck. But both vehicles would definitely have to have the same power accessories and options.

This sounds risky to me. It would be best to get the PCM for your specific truck.
