Alpine deck and Ipod interface for sale
I want to buy this for my truck:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158DSXS...0.html?tp=5684
Before I can buy it I need to sell my current deck. This is a picture of the same deck for sale on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-CDA-9847-...item335eab4c22
I can post links to pics of my Alpine unit if anyone needs them. It is in great shape, it only has a little of the writing on the Source-Power button rubbed off. It works perfectly. I also have the Alpine KCA-420i Iopd interface to go with it, so the Alpine unit will control and play an Ipod.
Price for both the Alpine deck and the Ipod interface is $100.00 firm, including shipping. If anyone is interested please post or send me a PM. Thanks.

Bpark has first dibs since he responded first.
Bpark you have a PM with links for pics of the unit in my truck. Sorry about the ebay link being dead, I was at work today when I posted the deck for sale. I forgot to add there is also a wireless remote that goes with it too. I don't have pics of the KCA-420i because it is mounted out of sight down in the passenger's kick panel. It's about the same size as the stock Infinity amplifier though and it fit in there just fine. I have the faceplate case and owner's manual too.
Let me know if you are interested.

I'd actually recommend a Kenwood KDC-342U
I love this thing, and it outshines it's "newer" version (345U)
and It's available good and cheap right now on Ebay and other places.

not sure why you'd pick a Sony over an Alpine...
Don't get me wrong, i like Sony for somethings but car audio is not one of them

I had a Sony and didn't like it at all compared to the Alpine. I haven't had a lot of different head units, but I like the Alpines a lot. I was about to spend $200+ on a setup like this, thats why I jumped on it so fast lol.
New PM sent to you Bpark.
Yeah I like Alpine too, I have used their decks for years. More years than I care to count. When I got my Ipod and bought the Ipod interface for my Alpine deck 3 years ago I pretty much stopped using CD's altogether. I checked out this new Sony unit at Best Buy before I decided to buy it, and I really like it. It has no CD player but you store your Ipod or other MP3 player inside it on a slide-out tray and the deck will control the Ipod. It has great access controls for the Ipod, and that will be good for me since I have like 2500 songs and over 100 playlists on my Ipod now.
I spent over 15 years in the car audio installation business and I have worked with Alpine for a really long time, Sony and Pioneer too. Sony car audio is good, you just need to watch what you buy. The Sony stuff they sell at Walmart is not too good, definitely the lower end line, and I never have liked Sony amplifiers. I retired from car audio in 2000, but I still like to keep up with it to a degree. I think this new Sony deck is one of the 2 best decks I have seen come out in the last 5 years though. The other best one is the Alpine CDA-7886.

YW. I will get it all packed up tonight and send you a PM tomorrow when I get it in the mail. I think the Post Office gives a tracking number so you can track where it is and figure how long it will take to receive it.
This deal worked out great for both of us. I don't trust Ebay and I would much rather sell the Alpine stuff to a fellow Dakota owner here anyway.
