01 dakota lights randomly flashing
I have an 01 Dakota and after my lights have been on for a while about 20 30 min they start flashing on and off and the security light flashes when they flash, i can here a clicking coming from the fuse box in the dash. its been goin on for about a week, today after it did it again and i got home i went to use my key fob to lock the doors and it wouldnt work and my electronic locks wont work either, after the truck has been off an hour or so it stops, even the interior lights well flash. any ideas on what this could be?

It's probably a bad Cenral Timer Module (CTM), it is kind of a common problem on some Dakota's. The CTM is located in the driver's kick panel, its a thin black plastic box with 3 plugs and about 100 wires on it. You can try unplugging the CTM and let it sit a few minutes then plug it back in, that might reset it and it might work OK. But chances are you need a new CTM.
Since you have the factory keyless entry, the Dodge dealer will also have to program the new CTM to your existing keyless entry remote control units. The dealer will program the new CTM to your truck with the DRB scan tool. I have heard it costs anywhere from $200 to $400 to buy a new CTM at the dealer and have them program it. You can try using a junk yard CTM or one off of Ebay but that is risky. If you get a used one it has to come from a donor truck that has all the same power options and keyless entry that your truck has. It's best to go with a new CTM from the dealer.

yep its prolly ur ctm, when u go to get it replaced, dont have the dealer do it cause they will charge u a ton of money for 10min worth of work, just go straight to parts department and order it, mine cost 250 but that was the no power opt one i thinnk urs will be ~350, but just install it in the parking lot, then have the dealer program ur keyless should be around 50 bucks
