Where do you guys get a V8 throttle body? And how hard is it to install it and the cable? does everything else bolt right to it like the IAC, MAP sensor, TPS?

OK guys.. thanks for all the input. I got the motor out yesterday (with the help of a great friend). What a pain in the butt that was. Not only is it a pain to pull the engine without having the truck on a hoist, the heat index was 102f and we were working in the drive way with no shade tree. Any how, it's out and I got it over to my builder. He's gonna go through it and give me an assessment on the damage and cost to rebuild it. He informed that the 3.9 has a tendency to crack heads so hopefully I won't have that issue. I told him that I want to put a mild cam in it if he could find one. I told him that I heard on here that comp cams had some so he's gonna check that out for me. The truck never was a power house from new, but the last couple years the truck really sucked on power. On the hi way it was all I could do to get the truck to run 80mph. And if I had to pass someone, I would have to back off and get a running start. lol .. my builder said that could have been the bearing was seizing up over the last few years. Not so sure about that, it acted to me like it was a vacuum leak or a worn cam. We'll see what happens over the next week or so. I'll keep everyone posted.

something that i plan to do, is port my heads and intake manifold. the manifold is only 47.5 mm ... which sucks if you want to put a v8 throttle body on (50mm) then you will have 2.5mm of restriction, but the stock TB is 46mm so there will be more flow regardless. I built a Ram Air intake for my truck and adjusted the kickdown cable and it made a difference .. not engine HP but brought it back to worth mentioning lol
