Default 3.9 engine strength

Ok Ive searched for this info and Ive found nothing. Ive got an 02 Kota w/ the 3.9 engine. Im looking at doing a turbo setup on it. Nothing super wild or crazy. Im hoping for 10 psi on it. What I need to know is, in a perfect detonation free, world how much boost the stock internals will hold before things break.

I dont think they even make a turbo setup for 3.9s and if they did its going to be crazy $$$$$ your better off to do a 5.9 swap and build that instead

Oh ok well im saying prob about 8 pounds of boost is going to be max on stock. I just think for what you will be doing might as well be doing it on a v8.

I have done ALOT of research on this topic, and from what I have gathered, about 7-8 lbs of boost is about all you can push before things start breaking...with a mild rebuild of the motor, it can handle up to around 12 lbs of boost. Even for getting a turbo set up pieced together for around $500, you would still be money and time ahead to find a V8 to drop in along with the turbo.
